Parasol unit foundation for contemporary art presents a solo exhibition of works by Canan Tolon opening on 15 January 2014. This, her first major exhibition in a London institution, provides in-depth insight into her works from 1986 to the present day. It includes Futur imparfait, 1986–1999, a series of 33 ink-wash and crayon figurative drawings that were recently acquired by the British Museum. A new exhibition by Mike Berg in Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego opens on November 14 at MCASD Downtown, Jacobs Building. İnci Eviner participates 4th edition of Asian Art Biennial: Everyday Life with her latest video “Nursing Modern Fall”. Organized by National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) the biennial opens at October 5, 2013. Curated by NTMoFA curator Iris Shu-Ping Huang, the theme of “Everyday Life” presents creative trends observed in Asian arts in the recent years, and it further focuses on the “everyday-ness” in daily experiences, and as well as the aesthetic development with the return to everyday life. Ali Kazma’s new exhibition featuring his photograph installations opens at Magda Danysz Gallery, Paris on November 16. The works in the exhibition were compiled from the archive of Ali Kazma comprised of more than eight thousand photographs taken in libraries, bookshops, print houses, bookbinderies and many other places related to books.
